Day by day,
a contortion,
bones out of shape,
out of place,
I stare at a reflection
seeming no less sane than yesterday,
but a whole lot saner than today.
What tomorrow has in wait,
but another contortion,
yet another day,
where a reflection stays,
regardless of the mirror that breaks?

Death and Shadows
Fire and light
Exploding Shells
Through the Harrowing Night,
Tears and Sorrow
Guns and Ammo
Flags in the Dust
Soldiers in Camo,
Courage and Honor
Distinction by Hours
Memory Lasting
Scattered Flowers.
In Loving Remembrance of all those who have and who still do serve this country/ Every country. On this day of Honour as we recall the sacrifices made, it may be the best time of all to understand that ALL soldiers serve for love of their own country and to protect and honour the way of life THEY hold dear. Right or Wrong, Truth or Lies, the Soldier carries the heaviest burden.

When Lies turn Courage into Doubt,
When Uncertainty Pierces the Light with Darkness,
When Anger chooses to Scream and Shout;
‘Tis then Compassion Walks Serenely,
And Faith Becomes the Tie that Binds,
As Hope Inspires a Blind Step Forward,
Love is the Unbroken Light Trust Finds.

Guiding, Precious, Eternal Light,

I Do Not Understand War
How do you hate so much that you can
Shoot,
Maim,
Destroy,
Kill,
Indiscriminately?
How do you differ so Greatly
That you cannot see the blood pouring over
The Grass,
The Sand,
The Mud,
And that it is the same colour as yours?
How do you have the Commitment
To leave behind All that you
Hold Dear,
Cherish,
Love Beyond Words,
With the uncertainty of ever Returning?
How do you have enough Courage
To walk onto the battlefield and
Look Death in the Eye?

Hope Unveils its Glimmering head
Whenever doubts claim it is dead,
Rivaling the face of treason,
Hope lends Courage, Intrepidity and Reason.
Walking past the vacant door
And all the avarice wanting more,
Hope Shields you in the dark of night,
Guiding your Vision with Illumination Bright.
Sordid Tales, weave not your lies!
