Rock and Straw,
Gold and Stone,
Brightest Light that E’re was Shone.
Toil and Mercy,
Stars of Night,
Encapsulate our Clouded Sight.
Loaves and Fishes,
Grace Forbearing,
Undaunted Love, Ever Caring.
Rock and Straw,
Garden of Sorrow,
Strengthen Love to Face the Morrow.
Wood and Iron,
Thorn and Tears,
Transcending All the Darkened Years.
Rock and Straw,
Angels and Stone,
Brightest Light that E’re was Shone.

This photo is so beautiful! I love the colors and the symbolism. I’m wondering if there is more to it than just the simple colors.

Hi Sarah,
The image spoke to me the same way. Simple, yet beautiful, which I think reflects the poem perfectly. I try to select images for my poetry that reflect the heart of the verse. Sometimes it can take hours to find just the right one(s). So glad this spoke to you 🙂
