Whispers Speak as Shadows Fall,

Primordial Silken Silent Pall,

Tell your tale in Beauty and Dread,

Encapsulating Life through woven thread,

Miles unraveled, wound delicately strong,

Gothic Monster, Lace Maker, Sing your Song.

I was nominated by Rajiv at http://rajivchopra.me to participate in the Five Photos Five Series Challenge. What is this Challenge you ask? Simple: You Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph that shares your insight or inspiration of/from the image. Then each day another blogger is nominated for the challenge. Even though I’ve done this particular challenge once already, I enjoyed it so much I thought I’d do it again.

Today my verse and photo are inspired by a lovely photograph by Nia at http://photographyofnia.com that she entitled “Natural Lace Maker”. The thought instantly inspired me and as the poem unraveled (intentional pun) I became aware of the dichotomy of the life of a spider. Just a simple verse, touching on the intrinsic dichotomy of life and death.

    1. Its fine, I just thought of you first 😉 I hate to “nominate” anyone, because I think many people accept out of a sense of obligation, but I thought you may enjoy it. NBD my Friend NBD 🙂

      1. My mission this summer is to see my 6 year old daughter become a swimmer. This is her year, make or break. She’s putting her face in the water, finally, and I’m signing her up for lots of swim lessons. And I’m loosening my shoulder up with PT and swimming myself, so I’m all wet, all summer. LOL Having a blast, though.
