Friday Fantasy – The Youngling – Sonnet 36

The Youngling

Evening sets on the elder, Dear,
The Tranquil wold soft in Lavender Hues,
As Last Light fades upon the Setting Year,
Memory Whispers and Gently Imbues.
For Upon the Morn, the New Year Rises,
Bright in Mirth and Possibility,
Regrets Forsaken, the Youngling Surprises,
Shimmering Expectation for all to see.
Growing like Fair Gaia, Springing,
Increasing in Beauty as the Elder Fades,
Promise, Like a Herald, Joyfully Ringing,
Blossoming in Bright, Youthful Shades.
Wake, then, with the Triumphal Morn,
Walk Forth in Hope as the New Year is Born.
