The Subdued Night- Sonnet XXII

Subdued Night

Shiver with Me in the Subdued Night,
As Breaths of Midnight Turn Softly Round,
Dream in the Satin Ebon Light
Of Eternity Singing without a Sound.
Tremble Beside me in the Delicate Hush
Of Twilight Painted in Lavender Tone,
Linger with me Beyond Life’s Pale Rush,
Amidst the Shadows, Together, Alone.
Sigh with me in Harmonious Song,
Of Gentle Splendors Unknown by Day,
Gild in Romance what E’re stood wrong,
With Your Exquisite Hands, Brush Cares Away.
Dappled Moonlight Around Us Dance,
While Love Boldly Stands Upon Glorious Chance.

    1. OH I do love a Shakespearean Sonnet 🙂 Actually, it’s quite an easy form, rhyming in ABAB, CDCD, EFEF, GG form…I have a sneaking suspicion you could write quite a lovely one 😉

I do Thank You, Ihsan, Ever So 🙂

    1. Penny, I do Thank You with a joyful smile 🙂 It may sound odd, but honestly, it is a Blessing, these words that come, and they do come from The Spirit within me to express Love, Hope, Peace and Joy, in all its marvelous and Beautiful shades. I hope that doesn’t sound too High brow or snobby. I don’t mean it that way, but when I sit down to write and this pours forth, and I end up as surprised as any…..

I do thank you ..sorry, Im particularly verbose today 😮

      1. You don’t sound snobby at all. I know what you mean when you say you are surprised at what comes out. That happens to me too. I’ll sit down to write something, have a specific thought in mind, but what comes out on the page ends up being totally different!
You are so welcome, it is much deserved!
