I Stand, not broken or withering,
In Form like Stone that Braves the ages,
Looking past tempests and scores of years,
To Placidly Smile and Turn the pages,
Of Lingering Memory, Frozen upon Tears,
Of lost and forgotten Dreams, now fading,
That Shone in my Bright, Youthful years,
And Shimmered so they needed shading,
Yet now those Vessels of Hope and Joy
Sail upon a sea of Quiet Repose,
Glimmering only like feeble Embers,
The Lingering Scent of an earlier Rose.
Debating not for what was lost,
I Stand Looking, Seeking, and Count not the Cost.
~Morgan~
