Distance May Separate,
Try to Shatter,
Try to Urge Hate.
Distance May Devour,
Try to Impede,
In the Darkest Hour.
Distance May Pierce,
Try to Corrupt,
With Misery, Fierce.
Distance May Sting,
Try to Mute
The Heart that Sings.
But Distance Will Never Succeed
In Breaking This Spirit,
To Despair Concede,
For Distance Makes this Heart Stronger,
Though I Wait, Longer and Longer.

Lovely poem! It makes me think of the two hard but rewarding years I just passed. Me and my boyfriend made it through and it was truly worth waiting for because now we are stronger than ever.
