Turning away from Love’s Hands,
Making All Hope Feel a Fool.
This World is Often Ugly and Base,
Pushing away Love’s Hand’s,
Slapping Joy in the Face.
This World is Often Unthinkably Unkind,
Running From Love’s Hands,
Accusing Grace, Woefully Maligned.
This World is Often Heartless and False,
Pragmatically Ignoring Love’s Hands,
By Peacefulness Repulsed.
Yet, This World is Often Starving and Blind,
In Desperate Need of Love’s Hands,
Of One Touch that is Kind.
