Oh dear Ode!
You make me
Smile
You’re full
Of Guile
You are Tall
And Slender
You are Harsh
Or Tender
You are All
You are not
You are Willing
But not A lot
You Give
You Plead
You Laugh
You Bleed
I Find You
In my Weakness
I See Your
Sumptuous Sleekness
I Hear You
In my Glory
You who are
Old as Story.
Oh Ode!

Very clever choice of subject – and carried off sublimely. There are some beautiful lines, which Neruda would have been proud of, I think. BTW, have you read his Ode to Laziness?

Thank You Tony. Neruda was a genius! I’ve read many of his Ode’s and loved (nearly) all of them
