Memory

Memory

The Hours may be dark
As shifting sand spills from your hand,
Memory hinges on fear and anger,
While Love Knocks patiently.

The Days may tread on leaden feet,
Sparking indifference and apathy,
Memory casts a shadow of doubt,
While Love Waits Uncomplaining.

Walking forward may be wearisome,
Under the guise of Courage and Strength,
Memory Holds Intent captive,
While Love Speaks Tenderly.

Time will pass, unnoticed,
Silhouettes of memoirs upon the wall,
Memory wonโ€™t extinguish Hope,
While Love Bends upon its Knee.
