In this Chasm of Darkest Night
Where All my Love Sings in swoons and Sighs,
Where the Hallow Echo of what used to Be,
Long Past,
Waits among the Shades and deep pitch of Night,
Whispering to my Soul,
Like the mournful wail of forgotten Time.
.
Braced against the Loneliness of this place,
Without You,
I draw the deepest Breath,
Alone.
.
Waiting.
.
For Time to Remember Us.

Sometimes I wonder where these words spring from. Perhaps no where, Perhaps Every Where. ? I am Happy it moved you, as it moved me when it came to my mind. Thank You!

I often wonder where mine come from. Just hanging out there, no rhyme (no pun) no reason! lol. You are welcome.

I enjoyed your beautiful poetry and the video too, Morgan — though there is much sadness here, especially with the disappearing arctic shelf.

I agree. I wasn’t sure if I wrote this from a perspective of Love or Love for Nature, but either way it works, I think?

I admit, I was in quite a “mood” when I wrote this. Glad it passed!
