Lavish – NaPoWriMo

There is a Lavish Beauty to You

I cannot deny;

A Magnificence that Charms and Lures

My every notion,

Clasping each Breath I Breathe

In Your Compelling grasp,

Drawing Shivers from the depths of me

While I stand,

Undeniably,

Inescapably,

Spellbound,

And Unreservedly Surrendered,

To You.

.

Though atypical, I have purposefully allowed this poem to stand alone, without an image to guide your interpretation or lead your thoughts.  Does the verse speak to you of a Beautiful Vista?  A Starlit sky? The Beguilement of a Lover? or the Enraptured Bliss of a newborn Child? or, perhaps, The Beauty of words, of Poetry, itself?

  1. The beauty of words for me Morgan – and how they synchronize when placed together to create imagery and feeling – the flow of a snapshot of life. Nice!

  2. The words themselves are beautiful, and speak for themselves. The words do paint a picture. However, I do love having images to look at also. That is a matter of personal preference though, and doesn’t make the words any less powerful.

    1. I tend to agree with you Michelle. Just an experiment, really, to see what the mind conjures when left to it’s own devices 🙂 Thanks Ever So Much!
