Canon

Touch my Stillness
With all my Power,
As I Wait,
Learning to Trust
Regardless of Fate
Standing Seductress
In the downy Light of Morn,
Cascading Brilliance
Upon the Fleece just Shorn.
My Heart Pounds,
Breathless,
As my Fears Clash with Hope,
A Battle for Control
For the breadth and scope
of this Pale Life,
Waiting for rain,
To wash away yesterday
And this Lingering Stain
Of doubt and recklessness,
Wild Abandon,
Waiting for Surrender
To scribe a new Canon.
