Upon the Edge of furious Night,
Within the darkness of my Fear,
In my Listing Vessel, Slight,
I Bow beneath the Storm to Steer.
Cast into the Thrashing Sea
Of Doubt and Stark Uncertainty,
I Ply the Waters Watchfully,
Surrounded by Faith’s Luminosity.
There at the Sill of Waking Day,
Where the Nighttide, quaking, Obediently Bends,
Conquering Promise Boldly Says
“Come!” into the Light it Sends.
Hope is Stirred, Vigor Renewed
In that Bright Glimmer’s Fair Elation,
And Into Me Life is Imbued,
Rejoicing, Breathless, at the Declaration.

I do love thinking of the vast ocean and all the unknowns and terror that brings. Polynesia is one of my loves, never been but I like it that way, it keeps the mystery.

This Image makes me think of those first intrepid explorers. Imagine setting off for the unknown in a boat that size!!! talk about the Unknown!

It does sound epically mental…They used birds to good effect, they’d release them and if they flew off they would follow them to land, if they landed then they just hung around on the waves, as it were, until the next day. Apparently the boats were really safe as well…a great book is The Kon-Tiki Expedition by Thor heyerdahl which is a recreation of these mad voyages.

😦 I often miss things in the reader, either because I follow too many people (lol) or because they get sandwiched between people I don’t follow and I simply miss them. So glad you stumbled upon them somehow 🙂
