For as long as I can remember, whenever anyone asked me what my Dreams are I have always answered two things: I should like to have my books published/ be a published author, and I should like to go to England.

Nondescript? Perhaps, but My Dreams, nevertheless. Iโ€™ve been writing poems and stories since I could hold a crayon, so it only seems logical that at some time or another, with the application of a little energy and passion, I should be capable of writing a book worth publishing and if said book, after being published, should make it possible for me to return to the homeland of my fatherโ€™s, a homeland I long with all my heart to see, then I shall count it a double Blessing.

These are my Dreams. This is what I strive for and towards. This is what makes my Heart sing and my Spirit soar with the delight of possibility. Yet, until very recently, Dreams are all they truly seemed to be; those ever inspiring, but not quite attainable sort that keep us wistfully looking towards tomorrow while we plunge into the reality of our here and now.

Recently, however, everything changed. Changed so that, having changed, it shall never change back to what it was before it changed. A New Day has dawned. Full Warp Speed is engaged, Captain! The Game is Definitely, Afoot, Sherlock! The Beacon from the Lighthouse has stopped turning and its blaze of ruddy light now pours over the path before me, lighting the darkness, shining brightly, pointing me in the direction I am meant to go. Because on April 25th, 2014 one of those Dreams has become Reality.

I can hardly manage to say the word without squealing with perfect glee, but say it I shall (because I can see that look of perplexity whispering across your features again).

This is the day my first book, Dark Fey, Book One: The Reviled, has been Published!

Now, before we go any further, please allow me to assure you that my blog stands on its own. It is a blog of poetry and pictures painted with words; it is a place of Love and Hope, Peace and Joy, Beauty and Inspiration. It has not been and shall not become a place where I shamelessly proffer my wares for purchase. Have no fear!

That being said, I cannot overlook the opportunity, just this once, to invite you to explore the world I created, the people I brought to life from my dreams, and the mythical mysteries and wonders in which they live. Please allow me to share my delight with you by providing this tidbit of information, should you so desire to read my dream come true.

What is Dark Fey, Book One: The Reviled? It is the first installment of a Fantasy genre story set in the primordial forests of mystical time in a land peopled by both Light Loving and Darkness Revering Faeriekind, or Fey, where a relationship between two unsuspecting, kindred souls, separated by far more than social stigma, blossoms in secrecy that could shatter both their worlds. Ayla, a Light loving, Guardian of Childfey hides more than a few secrets; secrets that isolate her and set her apart. Secrets that bring her to the attention of one who comes in shadow and silence; one who watches, waiting for the ideal moment to step from the darkness, reveal the truth about himself and alter the course of her life forever.

It is a tale of Light and Darkness, of Joy and Sorrow, and the Trials and Triumph of Courage and Perseverance.

    1. By the By…I noticed today on Kindle, there is an audio option available for the book so you can either read it or listen to it. I didn’t know they offered that. Just amazing ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. You would like England. I have been there twice, and Scotland, too. Gorgeous, rolling hillsides, hedges and small villages. Truly lovely. As for your book, can’t wait! Best, Brenda

    1. Every picture of Great Britain I have ever seen reaches deep inside me, tugging in a manner I cannot otherwise describe except to say I KNOW I must go there. It is there that I am meant to be. Soon, now…very soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

      2. I must give credit for the cover to MichelleMarie (have you seen her blog?). She took my ideas and the Dark Fey Symbol I drew and created about a dozen different covers for me to pick from. I cried with Joy when the final culmination emerged. ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Congratulations Morgan. This is a very good news brother: There is nothing more important than when you have a dream and by His power and grace you are able fight and make it a reality. This is just a stepping stone to more blessing. Once again, congrats!!
