  1. I struggle with rhyme and inspiration equally. Now picture this image spinning in opposite directions. Clockwise runs Rhyme/Content, and counter clockwise runs inspiration. Getting the two to run the same direction in unison is when I find my best words and ideas. Wish it happened more often. I LOVE this piece Morgan

    1. The Image you describe, John, is one that I am certain many writers also experience. I do as well when I am TRYING. so often, the best comes to mind when I stop, breathe deep and let go.

I am so very very glad you like this. It definitely came as a surprise to me when I wrote it!

      1. I struggle with the ability to let go. I have been experimenting with free writing, but the perfectionist/Libra within makes it hard to let go. I still seek the perfect balance between control and freedom. I try not to TRY, but it onlty makes me want to try harder. LOL. My last piece ATTIC DANCE was about as close to a free write as I will ever get and it was nice to let it flow.

      2. I did read it and liked it very much. I could feel the flow there. I also understand that its not easy for everyone. But then, you are writing well and reaching out, so you must be accomplishing what you are meant to. Trust to your Gift and it will not lead you wrong. ๐Ÿ˜‰

IF if if if if if…you are interested in learning to, as you say, free-write more or better, you may exercise your ability a little by perusing Pinterest or a site that has images that interest you, pick one that sparks the first thoughts in you mind and just write whatever comes. see how it feels. it doesn’t have to be alot…maybe just 4-6 lines. see if after a few times or a few dozen times you think its getting easier.

I only suggest. You must do what is best for you and what makes you Happy ๐Ÿ™‚ and most of all ENJOY ๐Ÿ˜‰

      3. Thank you for your encouragement and suggestion. I often write from the inspiration created from specific images that spark a desire or seem to tell an immediate story. RAD (my latest was a specific example and was about as close to free write as I get. About 15 – 20 minutes from beginning to end. I also have things that once the pen hit the paper (so to speak) the words just poured out. So I have the ability inherent, but sometimes am too critical of first instincts. It is getting better and I am finding more balance between the two, and as a result have become a bit more prolific. Thank you again for your support and continued inspiration Morgan. It means a lot coming from such a tremendous talent.
