Love is Life- Sonnet XXV

Life is Love-an Opposite

The Shape of Night, the Taste of Dark,
Twisting in Bleak Emptiness,
Lurking Beneath the Eternal Spark,
Devouring Light with Loneliness.

Spanning the Quiet of Dull Witted Thought,
Piercing the Royal Robes with Fear,
Contagion Steals what Heaven Bought,
Melting Bright Day with Sorrow, Drear.

Untimely Guilt Rest in my Hands,
Shackled by Remorseless Greed,
Though my Spirit Understands,
โ€˜Tis my Frailty that Begs and Needs.

O Wake my Soul and Cry for Love,
For Love is Life, Grace from Above.
