A Day in the Life

Cottage_in_the_woods

Ok so Admittedly I haven’t had a natter in quite some while…just a blatant, nope, I don’t really have anything in particular to say but Im going to say it anyway kind of ramble, so for those of you ( you know who you are!) who enjoy these forays into the surreal ( or the insane, depending upon your point of view), Here you go 🙂  Here I am!  Sitting at my laptop with a tummy that is rumbling because its lunchtime, but Im concentrating on what Im writing ( which in this case is absolutely nothing, more or less) rather than whether or not Im hungry, because my “hunger” for words is far greater than any ravenous gnawing might be in the pit of my stomach (well, maybe not ravenous…after all, I did have my customary glass of soy milk for breakfast and my protein snack bar mid morning) ( yeah, that will hold me, at least until Im done prattling on).

So what can I tell you that I might not have mentioned yet.  By this point, you are all probably pretty familiar with the fact that words rule my world and have done since I was able to speak ( although probably before as well, though who’s to tell) and I love a challenging read like Shakespeare, Dickens or Poe, but what else can I tell you about me??  Maybe this is a question I should be asking you, but since we aren’t actually at table enjoying a nice steaming cup of Double Gingerbread, Single Mocha, Skim Milk, No Whipped Cream, Double Chai Latte and having a nice chat, I will extrapilate.  ( or however you spell that word, because honestly if it weren’t for Spell Check I’d be seriously lost).

Ah but wouldn’t that be nice, really?  Sitting at a little table for two on a quiet, yet interesting little corner in a quaint, tucked away village set amoung the rolling hills of Tuscany, or along the seaside in Spain overlooking the crystalline blue waters, or perhaps, and probably best of all ( Yes I save the best for last ) ANYWHERE in Great Britain, sharing that cup, quiet converse, an infectious giggle (had you worried for half a sec, didn’t I?) and an amiable smile.  To me, that would be heaven.  Particularly if the converse touched on words of any kind, or acting, or art.  Yes, that would be splendid.

Oh, and that would also be something about me you may or may not have known (or guessed) previously (depending), so I guess that wasn’t too much of a stretch.  But now, just imagine afternoon tea is over, the sun is beginning to slip towards the horizon because its not the middle of summer (since I wouldn’t be sitting out in the sun in the middle of summer….but thats another tale) but its a balmy Autumn afternoon and we decide to have a leisurely stroll around the village to inspect and appreciate every garden, every stone fence, every gate and cottage.  What a beautiful Preevening that would be (preevening being that time between Afternoon and Evening …thank you Sheldon Cooper)

So close your eyes and enjoy the vistas and I will do the same.  Then it will (almost) be like we are there together 🙂

  1. what i really like about your blog is the variety of words. Since i’m still learning English, sometimes i have to use my dictionary to look up the words you say but it’s still interesting. 🙂

    1. Oh dear, I do apologize for that challenge. But I am glad you find it enjoyable anyway. What is your native language, if I may ask? Thank You ever so much, my new friend 🙂 You are so kind to say that.
