When the rain is falling down, down, down,
With that pitter-patter sound,
I climb up in the window seat
And watch it falling.
When the wind is blowing, blowing,
I watch the puddles growing,
Filling gullies in the street
That are calling.
When the thunder is a-grumbling, rumbling,
And the lightning is a-tumbling,
I am putting on my boots
And yellow coat.
When the rain is dripping, dripping,
And the storm is done with ripping,
To the door I shoot
With my blue boat.
When the Puddles splash and splush,
And the rainspouts gurgle and gush,
I hope the water is deep
And Take a Flying Leap!

Thank you Ever So…it did for me too. It was a challenge, I must confess, keeping it simple ! (as the theme was to write a Children’s Poem)

Looking at the rain, eagerly waiting for the time when it would stop and then playing in the puddles- such wonderful childhood events.
