Baked Ziti
This recipe of mine is certainly NOT diet, low-fat, or particularly heart healthy, but every now and then one simply MUST make room in one’s menu for a fine, Italian meal that satisfies. Enjoy your second helping (as I assure you, it is unavoidable)
1 Lb Ground Turkey- 97% fat free
1 14oz Can Petite Diced Tomatoes
1 Jar Classico Spinach Florentine Spaghetti Sauce
1 Lb Box Ziti Pasta
1 Container Philly’s Italian Herbs Cooking Cream. (If you cannot find this, use 6oz of cream cheese and a generous handful of Italian or Tuscan seasoning)
1 ( 2 cup) pkg Mozzarella Cheese
Cook 2/3 of Ziti Pasta as package Directs, but only cook until about 2/3 done. Pasta should still be Very Al Dente.
Brown Ground Turkey in a Tbsp or two of Olive Oil until golden brown. Add entire can of Petite Diced Tomatoes (the juice will deglaze the bottom of the pan, so be sure to scrape the pot well while blending in the tomatoes). Add entire jar of spaghetti sauce. Add Entire container of Philly’s Cooking Cream.
In a 13 x 9 baking dish that has been lightly coated with oil (to reduce sticking) Blend all Ingredients to combine. Top with Entire package of Mozzarella Cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until cheese begins to brown and bubble.
Serve with salad, bread, and a nice red Wine.

One of my favorite meals to prepare for my family!! I love the twist you’ve put on this dish, I’m going to try this soon! Thanks, Morgan!

Having turkey instead of red meat makes it a little healthy, right? Looks delish 🙂 Will have to try

Slightly. What I like is that, although it comes out tasting like you spent hours preparing it, in actuality it’s quite easy and quick. Enjoy!

OMG Morgan, you must be so cruel to put a picture of it online. This is totally unfair! 😛
