Speak in shadows and Whispers to my mind
And let not my musings and Intrepid Thoughts
Take up arms against the Swelling Emotion that
Aches from the Passion Abiding within;
That if such notions should crest the tide,
If such a clamorous din of maddening chaos
Might quell the Pounding in this Heart at the
Merest Thought of You,
Then Shall I be Unworthy of such Passion
And Lost within the discord that threatens to
Take You from Me;
Yet Whisper in the Softest Tones
In Your Sweetest Voice
And All the riotous ponderings of my mind shall pause,
Utterly Beguiled .
