In the subtle shades of the secretive night,
A Long Lament for this restless state
Emblazoned by Your energy;
The Passion calling from Your Heart
To mine,
Enwrapped in the shadowy wings of night,
Swirling like an ethereal mist
Where All the violence of this shameless world,
Spin in a maddening descent,
And fallsย like shards of broken glass upon the floor,
Yet they areย Mute and witless against
The Potencyย of thisย Desire,
The Necessity of this Love
That spans place and Time,
Irreverent of any who have come before;
They are but Shapeless illusions in the vacuous void
Without the Beauty of Your Love
With Mine.

I opted to go a bit dark over the weekend. I think I intentionally steer clear of my darker emotions when Im writing, but Im trying to be more honest with them. Im glad it touched you, though sad because I know why.

When I began sharing my poetry here, I swore I’d never share sadness. Fast forward three years..and here I am. I still prefer being the positive and uplifting person my friends cherish. I suppose through my writing the deepest of me comes out. It’s nice having someone to sit with sometimes, Morgan. โก
