Talk about inspiration, these are wonderful, who wouldn’t fall in love with these and not have many stories to write about them.

Beautiful! I would love to stumble upon some of these when I walk in the forest. The second one in particular reminds me of when I was a child. There was an old wellhouse (wish I had a photo) and the floor had long since rotten and fallen. My parents always told us to never go near it or climb down into the old cellar, as there were snakes living in it. Just what their six young’ns needed to hear. We never saw a live snake in there. You had to fasten a rope or vine to a nearby tree to get into or out of it, as the steps had long since rotted. More than once someone would pull the vine back up leaving whoever was down there with no means to get out. Of course, the vine was always dropped when it was time to go home and no one ever told. Telling would be admitting that we were in the wellhouse.
