Pinnacle Moment

The words are quiet today, my thoughts are still. For the moment, which rarely lasts long, the poetry inside my mind, pouring from my spirit to fill my heart and these pages, is calm and tranquil. The Deluge has abated and in its wake, I am able to sit peacefully and breathe deep.

It is a welcome release, sometimes; a time to recharge, reenergize, refocus. Like waves breathing upon the shore, these waves of Inspiration wax and wane and I along with them, for even as I draw a deep breath, close my eyes, and rejoice in the blessings around me, the rolling tide draws its strength once more.

Yet this quiet place where I am resting is a perfect place and moment in time for me to look round, see from where I have come and to where I am going. The valley of stagnation and emptiness that once surrounded me has been left behind and I find myself up in the hills, where sunlight sparkles, where the winds blow and bluster, where the stars glitter more brightly and those peaks that once seemed unattainable are now boldly within view.

To quote Ophelia “I cannot choose but weep”, yet I weep not in sorrow and mourning as she had done; I am crying for joy. On this very special day I am looking back across 8 months of astonishing inspiration and a bounty of words and images that bless me as well as others, yet far, far more importantly are the dear friends whom I’ve encountered along the way.

Some of you have been on this journey with me from the onset; others are much more recent friends, yet each and every one of you make up this WordPress Family and every single one of you have touched my life in some manner over the past months. Whether it is with images taken by skilled photographers, or words written by dexterous poets stretching their literary wings, or with music, shared laughter, keen cookery, or quotes and insights of all sorts; regardless of the means, YOU have made an extraordinary difference in my life.

Yet upon this day, this most momentous day, I have reached another pinnacle upon the heights and I am standing, staring outward, in awe struck amazement. For upon this day I have reached a goal I surely never thought I would reach, and most certainly not in less than a year of blogging! Upon this day I have the Joy and Honour of counting One Thousand of you amoung my Friends (or followers, though I like that term far less) and, although I rarely mention my “stats” and do not make efforts to promote myself in such a manner, I must, I absolutely MUST, take this opportunity to (yes again) say Thank You.

Thank You for Sharing Your Light with me.
Thank You for Your Encouragement, so Free.
Thank You for Counting me as a Friend.
Thank You for Humouring me, when the Whimsy won’t end!
Thank You for Delighting me with Sights and Sounds.
Thank You for Turning my Direction Around.
Thank You for Walking with me on this Way.
Thank You for Enjoying all these Words that I “Say”.
Thank You for Taking BooknVolume to Heart!
Thank YOU for being My blessing, From the Very Start.
