Sleep,
Something I seldom See,
For Love of One,
Named Kitty,
Keeps me Long Awake and Open Eyed,
Though the Night has Deeply Sighed,
Like a Babe,
Ever Needing,
Waking and Wanting,
Nocturnally Being,
Stealing my Dreams in the Midnight Hour,
Makes the Alarm’s Peals Bitter and Sour,
Yet Love is like This,
Love Smiles and Cares,
Even When Exhausted
Beyond Compare.
