Web of Dreams

Everything about You
Entangles me
Into the Artistry of
Quixotic Dreams.

You Spin Your web
And Capture me,
Taking my Heart
Where it cannot Flee.

Entwined in You
Until I can’t break Free,
You’ve Beguiled me
In this Web of Dreams.

  1. question is who are we talking about – a desirable physical entity – or that much greater entity – the holy spirit – mystical poets in India, the princess Meera who rejected her own husband’s yearning for the divine spirit Krishna, the blind poet saint surdas who sang songs of love for his spirit love, the householder Tulsi who left his home and wife who taunted him that if he loved God as much as he desired her then he would attain immortality, after which he spent his life seeking his spirit love Rama, or Christs 12 disciples who loved him more than they loved anyone else – the great poems of love of such devotees have shaken the portals of India’s poetic literature to overwhelm those who hear them in song and verse or in christian art to adorn the Cistine Chapel and elsewhere with extrordinary works of devotional art that no ordinary romance could ever equal – yes it is true what you say –
”you spin your web and capture me taking my heart where it cannot flee” – so beautifully put – matches the love lorn yearnings of the mystical lovers which no earthly love could ever match.

  2. your poem reminds me so much of Meera’s Sur Das’ and Tulsi das’ poems – so go look their poems up if you care on my blog – daily i have at least 10 visitors looking them up – you too are welcome – and your poem of love is equally great if it is directed not to a person only but to the the greatest lover of them all

    1. Reading your comments I am left in tears, shaking my head in utter amazment. It never ever ever ceases to astonish me that something I have spun together (often in very little time) pouring out my spirit or my heart or both onto the “page” for all to see, and allowing the Inspiration of a Greater Spirit to communicate LOVE through me, can and often does stir something within someone else, touches them in a way I cant possibly imagine, and in this case, blesses me in return by being a blessing to someone else. If that makes any sense at all, Im thankful that you understand. I surely hope it does and you do.
Regardless…Thank You more than I can (apparently) express.
