Subdued – A-Z#Poetry

subdued

.

Lavender turns to muted shades

In soft shifting Whispers upon the stage

As Twilight bends its Tranquil head

Sighing sweet breezes upon its bed

In listless anticipation of midnight Balm

A Breathless moonbeam amid the Calm

Stirs these notions, so soft a-slumber

As I lift my gaze and Seek to number

The myriad perceptions; the Host of Light

Bedecked upon the Velvet Night

In Subdued antiphony of Intractable Rhyme,

Delicate Grandeur

Subdued

Yet Sublime!

  1. Morgan, I am in awe. This is so beautiful. “In Subdued antiphony of Intractable Rhyme,” is absolutely amazing. I read the poem 4 times and you did great.

    1. 🙂 thank you so much Sue. I know I haven’t been round much. Dark Fey swept me up again, this time with a revision, and I’ve been entirely diverted. Promise though, I’ll pop round for a visit tomorrow! Always so happy when we can share thoughts 😉
